Designed by the highly respected naval architect Tony Castro, this 45m/147’ motor yacht is a development of the highly regarded 36m/115’ Arcadia, launched by Royal Huisman in 2006 and awarded Winner in her class at the World Superyacht Awards 2007.
The concept is that of a sturdy, yet classic and understated long distance cruising yacht – meticulously engineered to withstand lengthy passages and tough environments, whilst providing a mellow, refined and luxurious ambience below.
Numerous small features of design and engineering reveal themselves over time, collectively communicating what the World Superyacht Award judges described as: “…a combination of understated design and impeccable build quality…(resulting in)…a truly integrated modern classic with a sailing yacht pedigree.”
Alustar construction, with the option of composite superstructure components, adds greatly to range and stability compared with more traditionally constructed motor yachts. The 45m concept affords extended range and accommodation, and the provision of a helicopter deck if required. The general arrangement of accommodation can be defined to meet the Owner’s individual objectives.
