
Jan Jans Huisman founds the yard at Ronduite to build small wooden fishing and workboats. His eleven-year-old son Wolter is already being shown the skills that will enable him to take over the reins around the turn of the century. He will then train his own sons Jan and Jacob in their turn. A number of the early wooden punters and sailboats built by Jan Jans and his son Wolter still rendezvous to this day.
