ROYAL HUISMAN TO BUILD PROJECT PHI

Top-tier designers and naval architect team up with Royal Huisman to create radical fast displacement motor yacht

Royal Huisman is delighted to announce that contracts have been signed for the building of Project Phi – a magnificently sensuous motor yacht of over 55 m / 180 ft with exterior design from the drawing board of Cor D. Rover, interior design by Lawson Robb and naval architecture by Van Oossanen Naval Architects.

As a result of many hours of deep conversation, over a period of years, between the experienced owner and Cor D. Rover, Phi was born, utilising the especially developed Fast Displacement XL ® hull form from Van Oossanen, which allowed this yacht to take such proportions and still remain under the 500 GT mark. Relating to ”Sectio divina” or the Golden Ratio, Phi is the formula that governs continuation of dimensions and shapes in natural proportions throughout the design. Preliminary details available show a design, true to the philosophy, of a completely bespoke and highly detailed exterior, incorporating numerous beautifully and patented, technically innovative features.

Further key-players in the development of Phi were the Owner’s current Captain, in association with Yacht Consult as well as Arcon Yachts.
