Nilaya: winner of Race 3 and third overall in ‘Les Gazelles’ class. Her race captain, Bouwe Bekking, posted on his social media: “First event for the ‘new’ Nilaya: steep learning curve. We sailed better every day, but even with two perfect races it was impossible to beat the ketches on handicap in ORCsy. C’est la Vie 😊”  Jim Pugh, president of Reichel/Pugh, Nilaya’s naval architects, adds:

“Sailing Nilaya in the St. Barths Bucket was the ultimate superyacht race experience.”

Jim Pugh continues: “This was her first regatta and the yacht performed magically under the owner’s helmsmanship on the spectacular racecourses. Nilaya will win many regattas in between miles of epic cruising on different oceans of the planet.”

Aquarius: winner of Race 1 and overall second in ‘Les Gazelles’ class.

Hyperion: second in ‘Les Mademoiselles’ class.

Hanuman (supported by JK6 escort vessel Atlantide): second in ‘Les Elegantes’ class.
