AQUARIUS IS SET TO SHINE - Royal Huisman proudly announces the transport of the modern classic 65m / 212ft Aquarius from the hall that has housed “Project 408 Aquarius II” for detailed outfitting and extensive testing since her hull was turned in March last year.
This performance ketch is the successor to the first Aquarius by Royal Huisman, delivered in 2018. The word “knowledgeable” is often applied to a yacht owner with experience gained from owning a boat or two. Nilaya’s owner far exceeds that description with thousands of sea miles both cruising and racing production and custom yachts.
Nilaya’s owner: “I have been sailing in dinghies since I was a child. My first yacht was a Swan 48, followed by several other Swans which I [was] cruising and racing for many years.” With the last 12 years sailing and campaigning the previous Nilaya to many podium finishes, he and his wife had a well-reasoned list of requirements before they entered into discussions with their architects, designers and representative about the next boat.
The new Nilaya features 13m / 42.5ft more length and 2.5m / 8ft more beam over the predecessor, the increase in interior volume as well as on-deck living area is immense.

The 60m / 196ft high-performance sloop SARISSA is the overwhelming winner of in total seven prestigious awards including “sailing yacht of the year”.
SARISSA’s owners wanted the boat to be able to compete with the very best on the racecourse and at the same time, have the lowest noise and vibration levels of any large sailing yacht.
She also had to be comfortable in big seas, safely handling ocean passages. The steering had to be manual – the owners wanted to feel the power through their fingertips. They spent many years developing her, and it is not by accident that the shipyard and designers achieved spectacular results (and awards).

The 33m / 106ft classic sailing yacht Nyima was originally launched as Christoffel`s Lighthouse in 2003. Over the past twenty years, she has not undergone major refits and therefore she looks a bit weary. Her owner wants to bring Nyima back to her full glory, both aesthetically and technically, and therefore commissioned Huisfit to do so.
Nyima’s captain, Uwe Dettelbacher, returned the yacht to her birthplace in Amsterdam: “Besides the remarkable reputation that Royal Huisman / Huisfit has around the world, we were delighted to find out that some of the people involved in the original build are now part of the Huisfit team and would be leading the project, which I consider a huge plus for our team and the owner!”
“Also, the clear Dutch way of communication and problem-solving, work ethics, and striving for perfection, as well as the shipyard staff and management, were additional reasons that made the decision an easy one. I am very excited to see the vessel leaving the shipyard in her old glory.”

The St. Barths Bucket is indelibly marked on the calendars of more and more sailing superyacht owners. The regatta is the queen of all superyacht regattas. Simply put, it has everything going for it.
The obvious draw is that it takes place in and around St. Barthélemy, a small French island in the Leeward chain of the Caribbean. This pristine island with 5-star hotels, delectable restaurants, seascape villas, glorious beaches, translucent waters, chic shopping, and hilly topography is the ‘it’ island of the cognoscenti.

Royal Huisman turns hull of world`s largest sloop: the shipyard team in Vollenhove achieved a highly anticipated milestone in the creation of Project 410.
The impressive 61m / 200ft main part of the aluminum hull was wheeled out of the construction hall, revealing her immense scale and two accommodation levels. In a seamless maneuver, four cranes lifted and turned this masterpiece mid-air over the adjacent canal. The upright hull will be placed on a cradle and moved back into Hall 2, her home until completion.
